This is how we process your personal data

  1. Overall considerations
    Beierholm takes the responsibility for your personal data seriously and treats these data as confidential. We do not collect more data than are necessary for our provision of the agreed services to our customers.

    This Privacy Policy applies to all natural persons whose data Beierholm processes as data controller.  
     
  2. Storage of your personal data
    We store your personal data for the duration of your contractual relationship with Beierholm. If you cease being a customer with us, we will erase your personal data after the current year + five years, see the rules in the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Bogføringsloven), the Danish Act on Approved Auditors and Audit Firms (Revisorloven), the Danish Anti-Money Laundering Act (Hvidvaskloven) and other relevant legislation.
     
  3. Consent
    As a general rule, we do not use consent in connection with the provision of our services in Beierholm. If you have granted your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any given time. You can do this by getting in touch with your regular Beierholm contact. 
     
  4. Categories of personal data
    Beierholm’s general handling of your personal data comprises ordinary categories such as contact details, including name, telephone number, email and address. Data are also collected in accordance with Beierholm’s Cookie Policy.

    Under the Danish Anti-Money Laundering Act, Beierholm is obliged to verify that the parties with whom Beierholm has established a customer relationship do not pose a risk of money laundering or financing of terrorism. It is therefore necessary for Beierholm to process data on our customers’ civil registration (CPR) number and photo ID in the form of a driving licence or passport.
     
  5. Recipients of data
    Beierholm only discloses data to the subprocessors stated in Beierholm’s data processing agreement. In addition, the data are disclosed to public authorities such as the Danish Tax Agency (Skattestyrelsen) and the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen) if Beierholm is obliged to do so by law or by agreement with the customer.
     
  6. Your rights

    In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to our processing of your data.

    Right to see data (right of access)
    You have a right of access to the data we process about you as well as a number of other data.

    Right to rectification (correction) 
    You have the right to have inaccurate data about you rectified. 

    Right to erasure 
    In special cases, you have the right to have data about you erased before the time at which we generally erase data. 

    Right to restriction of processing
    In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If you have the right to have the processing restricted, in future we may – with the exception of storage – only process the data with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest.

    Right to object
    In certain cases, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.

    Right to transmit data (data portability) 
    In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have these personal data transmitted from one data controller to another data controller without hindrance.

  7. Complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency
    You should always first contact us as the data controlling company if you are dissatisfied with our processing of your personal data.

    You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency if you are dissatisfied with the way in which we process your personal data. You can find the Danish Data Protection Agency’s contact details at www.datatilsynet.dk/english.

  8. Exercising your rights
    If you have any questions about our processing of your data, or if you wish to exercise your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, please get in touch with your regular Beierholm contact and inform him or her of this.
